Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Welcome back to another blog! For this post, I am going to be talking about the benefits of working in a team and how it can create more efficient use out of your time.

Finding a team to match what you’re looking for can be difficult. It almost requires interviewing one another to see if qualities will mesh. Some tips going forward for working in a team would include working with a group whose strengths complement your weaknesses. By doing this, you can learn more about how to strengthen your weaknesses and also save time by having others help fill in the gaps. I have found this tactic super helpful in my #GirlBossesNetwork if you are interested in finding a group that aligns with female entrepreneurship.

The most important thing is making sure to assign tasks to work towards everyone’s strengths because that’s how teamwork can make the dream work. Remember that working in a team increases that source of collaboration and brainstorming. Solving problems and producing creativity are huge benefits and something to think about for your personal and professional goals.

Another thing to consider is to decide the measurements and accountability. Find ways to measure success and keep one another accountable for the different tasks being completed. Make sure your team is on the same page and has that line of communication open. I have found Marco Polo to be a great app to communicate with team members (it is almost like leaving a facetime voicemail). Microsoft Teams is another great app for bigger organizations/networks. You can also check out LinkedIn to actually grow your communication line and to connect with many different types of people and business members.

Lastly, working in a team all of the time is not always the answer. Make sure to spend time doing tasks solo when need be.
