Stop the Morning Madness!

How amazing would it be to wake up in the morning and have your clothes picked out, your lunch made, and have a full understanding of your entire schedule for the day? No trying on 15 outfits and stopping for fast food because you didn’t have time after getting dressed and getting the kids off to school to pack your lunch much less eat breakfast. And now you’re worried about the pile of clothes on the bed you have to put away when you get home too. You CAN stop the madness. By creating a regular routine to start and end your day with, you can take control of the chaos that starts and ends each day.

My hour before bed includes setting clothes out for the next morning, packing a lunch, reviewing my next day’s calendar and visualizing the day, unplugging and even reading a few pages of a good book. PS, research has shown that already knowing what you’ll wear for the day upon wake up eases stress and actually helps you be more productive. Who knew?

What to do with all the extra time in the morning? Create a routine for that too! I call mine the power hour. I have my coffee and hang with my pups then I read or listen to motivational podcasts or TED Talks, I’ll meditate, do yoga, and basically prep physically, mentally, and spiritually for the day ahead.

Pretty awesome, right?
