22 Things To Do In 2022 That Doesn't Include Scrolling on Social Media

In 2022, I am making it a personal goal to not scroll mindlessly on social media. This can be hard when you spend a lot of time on social media to promote yourself on two different businesses. So I decided to create a list of twenty-two things to do instead of scrolling on your breaks during the day or on your days off. Maybe having this list will encourage me and you to find something that may bring more meaning to our mind, body, and soul.

  • Check out a new coffee shop — live in Milwaukee? Try out a new Colectivo location. Small businesses could always use your support over Starbucks or Dunkin.

  • Take your dog (or someone else’s dog if you don’t have one) for a walk.

  • Try out some yoga. Yoga with Kassandra is a great AND free source on Youtube.

  • Do a random act of kindness. Pay for the person behind you in a drive-through, put a nice post-it note on someone’s care, or write a handwritten note to someone about why you appreciate them.

  • Reorganize your bedroom — your room should be your sanctuary, make it that way by making it clean, organized, and feeling like an environment you can relax in.

  • Read the book on your nightstand.

  • Check out your budget and financial goals.

  • Call a friend/family member — conversation is good for the soul.

  • Make a playlist to listen to in the morning to brighten your day.

  • Listen to a podcast (Definitely recommend Brene Brown)

  • Make a new recipe you have been wanting to try. I made some air fryer french toast sticks the other day, 10/10.

  • Prep some veggies and fruit to have easy access to it throughout the week.

  • Get a massage — you deserve it :)

  • Journal: gratitude, random thoughts, stress that needs to come out.

  • Have a nap!

  • Watch a Ted Talk — so many great ones out there.

  • Meet a friend for lunch — in Milwaukee, try Explorium Brew Pub for the best giant pretzel.

  • Try out a new hobby — this could be your day to learn how to crochet!

  • Go on a road trip to a town close by and check out their shops or attractions.

  • Meditate: sit in silence, listen to affirmations or even a guided meditation. Anything to stay present and in touch with your inner self.

I hope these provide you with some ideas on how to fill your time with items that do not include scrolling on social media.

Till next month!
